Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a pediatric trauma and teaching hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This full-time, 8-hour day shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm) role centers on accurate dispensing, clinical consultations, patient education, and adherence to hospital procedures.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas pharmacist license.
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• IV experience or IV certification preferred.
• BCPS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Compound and dispense prescribed medications accurately per physician instructions.
• Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions, patient history, and medication usage.
• Provide medication guidance and dosage instructions to patients.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy data recording, regulatory, security, and hospital procedures.
• Verify medication doses are appropriate based on diagnosis, weight, age, and body surface area.
• Identify and intervene in drug therapy problems such as allergies and adverse reactions.
• Evaluate use of non-formulary drugs and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
• Support patient education, staff training, discharge planning, and drug information requests.
• Manage medication orders, including supply coordination and inventory control.
