Job summary

Shriners Children’s in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for our Inpatient Unit to support nurses and care for pediatric patients. You will assist with direct patient care, wound care, and routine tasks under RN supervision.

Requirements include High School Diploma or GED, CNA or one year nursing assistant experience, and BLS. Pediatric experience is preferred. Pay range is $25.71–$36.30 per hour, with compensation determined by experience and departmental equity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• CNA certification or one year nursing assistant experience required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in delivery of patient care under RN supervision.
• Provides direct patient care and routine tasks as assigned.
• Demonstrates caring and appropriate behavior with patients and families.
• Assists with wound and skin care, restocks unit and work areas, and provides delegated nursing activities as appropriate.
