Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.

• CNA certification, or if not CNA, meet one of: enrollment in nursing education program and fundamentals in nursing; past licensure candidate who failed licensing exam; completed UAP program within past 3 years; nursing program outside US awaiting licensure; previous work as nurse assistant/EMT/surgical technician; some units may require bilingual skills.
• BLs certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive patient care
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficient and safe operations
• Unit Secretary/clerical functions
• Attends education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees
• Shares responsibility for teaching and orientation of new personnel (within own skills)

Education

HS Diploma or equivalent

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Nursing education enrollment (BSN/AD or LPN)

UAP program ( Missouri or other state)

Nurse licensure candidate history (past 3 years)

Bilingual skills (some units)
