Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Carrollton, TX seeks a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant to provide skilled PT services in home or daytime clinics for pediatric patients aged 0–21, 2+ times weekly, per physician orders. You will schedule supervision visits with the supervising PT and collaborate with the care team to meet patient goals.

The role requires TX licensure, an associate degree, 6 months of clinical experience, and pediatrics/home health exposure.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current state of Texas licensure as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant.
• 6 months full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Schedules supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising PT according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans for care to meet goals of the physical therapy interventions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances physical therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
