Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver one-on-one therapy in children’s homes, daycares, or schools. The role offers flexible scheduling with full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities and a sign-on bonus.

You will assess children, develop goals, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team while educating families. Licensure in Texas and pediatric aptitude are required or encouraged for new graduates.

Qualifications

• Current Texas OT license by anticipated start date.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Previous experience supervising COTAs is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based OT services per physician-approved Plans of Care.
• Address functional skills including fine motor, sensory processing, coordination, strength, ROM, self-care, and ADLs.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate families and caregivers on techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
