The role emphasizes safety, patient instruction, and documentation as part of daily duties. The position involves home environmental assessments, follow-up visits for respiratory patients, ongoing equipment support, and coordination of deliveries with physicians.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Two year degree, preferably in healthcare related field.
• Familiarity with medical documentation systems.
• Ability to use navigation system and follow maps.

Responsibilities

• Loads, delivers and sets up durable medical equipment, oxygen and supplies to patients in their homes, as instructed.
• Demonstrates equipment operation by providing instruction for use of certain types of medical equipment in the home.
• Ensures a safe patient environment as it relates to equipment.
• Completes follow-up visits for non-clinical respiratory patients.
• Conducts Home Environmental Assessments for oxygen patients.
• Assists patients in solving equipment-related problems.
• Completes necessary paperwork and required documentation.
• Sets up and picks up diagnostic studies and ensures delivery to appropriate physician.
• Responds to emergency calls with clinical back up as needed.
