Job summary

Riley Children’s Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Navigator for the Pediatric Hematology program. The role acts as a central contact for patients and families, coordinating care with physicians, social workers, pharmacists, and other team members to address hematologic disorders.

You will guide families through consultations, testing, treatments, and follow-up, providing education and advocacy while ensuring timely access to services.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active Indiana RN license or NLC license.
• 3-5 years nursing experience preferred.
• Pediatric, hematology/oncology, care coordination, or navigator experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive patient care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Facilitate scheduling of appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Manage refills, school notes, FMLA documents, and other patient needs.
• Triage calls and collaborate with providers on interventions.
• Monitor lab results and communicate findings to patients and providers.
• Document communications in the electronic medical record.
• Support quality initiatives, databases, and program reporting.
• Collaborate with community resources to optimize outcomes.
