Job summary

The RN is responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process in collaboration to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care on the assigned unit, supporting the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System.

The position requires licensure as an RN by New Jersey and may require completion of orientation and certifications such as APHON, BLS and PALS, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certificates through the American Heart Association as of January 2019.

Qualifications

Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications including APHON (Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider), BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) at time of hire or within 6 months of hire.
Certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) granted through the American Heart Association since January 2019.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement and evaluate nursing care using the Nursing Process.
Collaborate with the Department of Nursing within St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on the assigned unit.
