Qualifications

  • Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist required.
  • Demonstrated passion for clinical care, leadership, teaching, and research.
  • Experience or interest in sickle cell program development and/or coagulation management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to academic growth, including education of residents and fellows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary Sickle Cell Program and/or Hemophilia Program and expand hematology therapeutic trials participation.
  • Educate and mentor pediatric residents and fellows; contribute to scholarly activities.

Job description

Children’s Nebraska, in partnership with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, is seeking a passionate fellowship-trained Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join our dynamic team. You will be part of a robust group of 15 practitioners (10 physicians and 5 nurse practitioners) committed to providing exceptional care to a diverse pediatric patient population. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise or strong interest in sickle cell program development and coagulation disorders.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist
  • Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
  • Passion for clinical care, leadership, teaching, and research
  • Experience or interest in sickle cell program development and/or coagulation management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to academic growth, including education of residents and fellows and scholarly activities
  • Desire to lead the multi-disciplinary Sickle Cell Program and/or Hemophilia Program and expand hematology therapeutic trials participation

Children’s Nebraska is a 225-bed nonprofit organization caring for children since 1948. Founded by the community and for the community, Children’s is the only full-service, pediatric specialty health center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children across a five-state region and beyond.
