Job summary

UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to serve as a frontline provider for Hematology, Oncology, and BMT patients at the San Francisco and Oakland campuses. The NP will work 10-12 hour shifts, independently and with the team, delivering high-quality inpatient pediatric care.

The role requires California NP credentials with Pediatric Acute Care specialization and a minimum of three years’ experience in pediatric BMT/oncology.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized NP Program with a master's or doctoral degree in Pediatric Acute Care NP.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Minimum of three (3) years of recent NP experience, working with Pediatric BMT, Hematology & Oncology patients.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates and manages pediatric patients in Hematology, Oncology & BMT.
• Perform histories, exams, orders, and documentation in the EHR.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams; participate in rounds and discharge planning.
• Initiate consultations and coordinate care across inpatient and clinic settings.
• Prescribe or furnish medications and arrange home health or DME as needed.
• Ensure compliance with UCSF policies and regulatory requirements.
