Job summary

Children's National Hospital seeks a faculty hematologist to deliver clinical care in the hospital and clinics, while contributing to research, education, and advocacy initiatives as guided by leadership. This role includes supervising the care team and participating in on-call duties as required.

The ideal candidate will hold an MD, be fully licensed or eligible for licensure, and maintain Board certification in the subspecialty.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school.
• Fully licensed and credentialed attending physician on Children's National Medical Center.
• Board certified or eligible for board certification in primary practice specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services for patients at Children’s Hospital and approved sites.
• Provide oversight of the medical care team and manage direct patient care.
• Provide on-call services as determined by division leadership.
• Participate in family-centered care and communicate professionally.
• Commitment to advocacy, research, and education.
• Follow policies, complete documentation, and participate in quality initiatives.
