Job description

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non‑tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in hand surgery, with a focus on microsurgery. Applicants must have an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or an equivalent degree and be board certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery or be eligible for such certification.

Teaching Responsibilities

Clinical and didactic instruction of medical students and plastic or orthopedic surgery residents.

Clinical Responsibilities

Building a practice in hand surgery, with additional duties in either plastic or orthopedic surgery depending on candidate training.

Research Responsibilities

Clinical and/or basic science investigations in the field of plastic or orthopedic surgery, specifically hand surgery.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of an accredited hand surgery fellowship.

Appointment

Faculty appointment in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at CHOP.
