Job summary

Avera Medical Group Pediatrics Sioux Falls-Plaza 4 is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care and coordinate patient services in a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include ensuring timely patient flow, maintaining exam rooms, and supporting physicians. A valid RN license and strong communication are required to join this caring team.

Qualifications

• RN license required in state of practice, active upon hire.
• Must be able to perform essential duties with accuracy and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to patient care and safety as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, and exams.
• Monitor patient condition and report reactions to medications.
• Coordinate clinic patient care and manage appointment flow, including urgent cases.
• Greet patients and prepare them for examination; obtain health history and vitals.
• Educate patients about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and wellness.
• Respond to patient inquiries with input from physicians.
• Maintain exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and clean.
• Label pathology specimens and perform quality control on lab testing.
