Job summary

The University of Kentucky seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Professor in Pediatrics to join the Division of Genetics & Metabolism at Lexington, KY. The successful candidate must have an MD, DO or equivalent, complete residency in Pediatrics or internal medicine, and fellowship in clinical and/or biochemical genetics.

The role covers care in pediatric genetics/metabolic services provided at the Kentucky Clinic and Kentucky Children’s Hospital, with potential outreach clinics and collaboration

Qualifications

• MD, DO or equivalent
• Completion of pediatric or internal medicine residency and fellowship for clinical and/or biochemical genetics
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
• Board eligible or certified in genetics (clinical, biochemical, and/or molecular)
• Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky

Responsibilities

• Provide care services in Pediatric Genetics/Metabolic division.
• Organize and supervise clinical services for genetic, dysmorphic or metabolic problems in children and adults.
• Deliver services at Kentucky Clinic, Kentucky Children’s Hospital and outreach clinics.
• Coordinate with Kentucky Department of Health and Division of Newborn Screening for follow-up of biochemical disorders.
