Qualifications

Experience

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

• Local & travel allowed.

Required Skills/Experience

• 2+ years of experience working in a Children's hospital or 3+ years of experience working with pediatric patients is required. A combination of both is also accepted.

• Portables, inpatient, ER, PICU, NICU, and neonate experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Unit Details

• Patients include neonates, infants, and pediatric patients.
• Provides full general pediatric sonography and a full vascular lab.
• Cases include DVTs, post-PICC-line studies, IJ studies, and peripheral vascular studies.
• Includes substantial ED work, including appendicitis and testicular cases; portable studies are performed in the ICU.
• Supports a full transplant center with liver, kidney, and multivisceral transplants.
• Uses Rad Net.

Shift & Scheduling

• Shift times are not confirmed; potential day shift windows are 08:00-15:30 and 10:00-17:30, and final timing can be worked out with managers during the interview.
• Shift lengths may be 8, 10, or 12 hours.
• Up to 3 weeks of night shift may be required.
• Weekend coverage is required for up to 4 weekends.
• Holiday availability is required if the unit needs coverage; this may include Labor Day weekend.
• Call required: Possible.

Floating Requirements

Floats from the main unit to the ER, and possibly to portables, the OR, or the ICU.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
