Job summary

Bronson Pediatrics - Stadium Dr. in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Practice Support Assistant (Clinic Receptionist). This full-time role (36 hrs/week) handles reception, patient check-in, scheduling, and basic clerical tasks within a busy clinic setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and 3–6 months of related experience required.
  • Previous experience working with medical insurance highly preferred.
  • Must have keyboarding and computer skills, the ability to file accurately, possess professional communication and excellent customer service.
  • Experience with hospital-based practice management systems (Medic/MISYS/Tiger) preferred.
  • Ability to organize, alphabetize and file and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent math skills and ability to use basic office equipment.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and demonstrates professional communication.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones and greeting patients.
  • Scheduling, check-in, and file preparation.
  • Enter charges and verify insurance in MISYS/Tiger.
  • Schedule appointments and referrals.
  • Maintain patient records and confidentiality.
  • Perform light clerical duties and mail handling.
  • Communicate with patients professionally.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
