Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Pediatric Flow Coordinator for the Comprehensive Transfer Center on a part-time basis. The role coordinates all components of pediatric patient flow, prioritizes transfers, and collaborates with transport teams, accepting physicians and unit leadership to optimize bed availability and patient safety.

The coordinator acts as a clinical resource for safe placement, monitors transfer progress in the EMR, and participates in bi-daily bed and surge huddles.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted New York State RN license.
• BCLS certification and BSN.
• Three years of pediatric acute care experience or five years of pediatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all components of pediatric patient flow and transfers.
• Lead bed huddles and communicate resources to leadership.
• Collect, document, and monitor patient transfer data in the EMR.
• Ensure timely transfer and appropriate patient placement.
