Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool to deliver direct patient care across diverse units including ICUs and ER. This role involves 12-hour night shifts with every third weekend and holiday rotation as required.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.
• RN license required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Experience: 0–2 years in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on illness, home care needs and medications.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Develops and documents care plans with the interprofessional team.
