Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is hiring a Float Physical Therapist to cover inpatient and outpatient programs across Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Weekend coverage is required, with weekday hours from 9 am to 5 pm during Monday to Friday.

The role involves pediatric care from birth to 17 years, including collaboration with the Birth to Three program and multiple Nemours sites. Candidates must hold a CPTE-approved Doctorate in Physical Therapy and active licenses in DE, PA, and NJ where

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited university is required.
• 3–6 months of experience; new graduates considered based on educational experiences.
• Delaware Physical Therapist License required upon hire; PA and NJ licenses required as well.
• PA and NJ licensure process can be started during onboarding.
• Pennsylvania clearances required upon hire for those with PA license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 6 months of hire; must be maintained.
• Membership in professional specialty organizations (APTA) preferred.
• Pediatric clinical affiliation/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric physical therapy services to newborns through 17-year-olds in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Consult with families and other services to recommend durable medical equipment and home/school modifications.
• Complete timely documentation per departmental policy and standards.
• Attend meetings and contribute as an interdisciplinary team member.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance referrals/authorization processes.
• Complete mandatory training including HIPAA, CPR, and safety training.
