Job summary

Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies in Louisville, KY is seeking a dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist with feeding therapy expertise to join our interdisciplinary team. The role combines evaluation, treatment planning, and program development to grow a Feeding Center of Excellence for infants and children up to age 21.

Reporting to Senior Leadership in Program Services, you will lead the feeding team, collaborate across disciplines, mentor therapists, maintain documentation, and ensure care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Degree Program and licensed by the Kentucky Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
• Willing to undergo background check and drug testing.
• At least 3 years of experience in Pediatric Feeding Speech-Language Therapy; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to clearly and professionally speak and write English.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, supervisors, coworkers and support staff.
• Ability to manage mental and emotional stress and adapt to change.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Must be able to lift, carry, and transfer pediatric clients up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Feeding Program Leadership & Development.
• Lead development of an interdisciplinary Feeding Center and grow feeding therapy initiatives.
• Lead and manage the interdisciplinary Feeding Clinic.
• Oversee and expand feeding programs (e.g., SOS) and Wellness Program.
• Manage the team of licensed dieticians and monthly data reporting.
• Collaborate on continuing education and innovation for feeding therapy.
• Mentor therapists interested in feeding therapy.
• Perform initial evaluations and develop plans of care.
• Share results with parents, physicians, and caregivers.
• Develop treatment plans and discharge plans; include home programs and models of care.
• Provide interventions with parent involvement; address swallowing/oral function and related skills.
• Maintain documentation per licensure guidelines and update plans quarterly.
