Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN in Pediatrics ER for a travel assignment in Mesa, Arizona. The role involves caring for pediatric patients in a fast-paced ER, with night shifts, 36 hours per week, and a 13-week duration.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of acute care experience, current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications, and the ability to work with a diverse team to triage and treat children.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required (additional certifications may be required).

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care to pediatric patients
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality in nurse/child relationships
• Participate in pain management for pediatric patients
• Evaluate a child for signs and symptoms of abuse
• Serve as a child advocate
• Document medical history and vital signs
• Monitor emotional and physical well-being of pediatric patients
