Qualifications
- Accredited nursing program required.
- BLS certification (American Heart) required.
- ACLS certification required for critical areas.
- PALS required for pediatric areas; 30 days to obtain if non-pediatric.
- NRP required for NICU; 30 days to obtain if non-NICU.
- RN Fellowship requires 1 year independent practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a designated specialty unit.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.
- Monitor and document patient condition; educate patient and family.
- Delegate to ancillary staff; precept students and new hires.
