Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital - Emergency Department: Pediatric is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient- and family-centered care in a fast-paced ED. You will use the nursing process to assess needs, plan and implement interventions, and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Night shift 7p-7a, weekends/holidays as assigned, 36 hours per week, full-time benefits. Requires RN license and BLS, typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• RN license issued by the state of practice
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA)
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess patient needs and plan/intervene accordingly.
• Coordinate discharge planning with interdisciplinary team.
• Promote patient safety and educate patients/families.
• Lead and mentor care team; communicate effectively with colleagues.
