Miami Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine APRN to function independently under supervision. You will assess, diagnose, and manage episodic and acute pediatric conditions with oversight from the EM Physicians team.

Responsibilities include exams, orders, and interpretations, treating injuries, prescribing medications, and documenting in the EMR. The role requires Florida APRN licensure, PALS/BLS, and credentialing per hospital policy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited school.
• APRN State of Florida Licensure - active and in good standing.
• Certification by ANCC, AANP, or PNCB - active and in good standing.
• American Heart Association PALS - active and in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS - active and in good standing.
• Credentialing by NCH Medical Administration required.

Responsabilités

• Perform history and physical examinations and manage episodic pediatric illness.
• Order and interpret radiology and laboratory tests; treat minor injuries.
• Prescribe medications and document care in EMR and records.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice per delineation.
• Lead or participate in a health care team and quality initiatives.
• Precept new APPs and students; maintain infection control standards.
• Ensure up-to-date expertise to provide high-quality clinical care.
• Writes orders, monitors drug therapies, and coordinates with physicians.
