Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking a pediatric home health RN to provide direct and indirect nursing care in patients' homes, following physician plans and nursing care plans. The role includes enteral therapy management, training families, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

The position requires an RN license in Nebraska, BLS, and at least two years of nursing experience; pediatrics/home care preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum two years nursing experience; pediatrics and homecare preferred.
• RN license in Nebraska; BLS required; driving license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care per physician plan and Nursing Care Plan.
• Manage homecare enteral patients, including referrals and training with HH Nursing.
• Set up enteral therapy and educate on pumps, NG tube, syringe feeding, etc.
• Document in CPR+ and update enteral notes per physician orders.
• Monitor patient response and adjust care as needed; communicate with physicians, dieticians, and HH pharmacy.
• Supervise Enteral LPN; provide training and serve as resource for the team.
• Ensure timely documentation, discharge summaries, and policy-compliant charting.
• Maintain age-appropriate assessments and family education per care plan.
• Maintain safety and crisis readiness; comply with OSHA and care standards.
