Job summary
Miami Children’s Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APN/NP) in Endocrinology for a full-time days schedule. The role involves direct patient care of children with endocrine, growth, sexual development, and thyroid disorders.
You will perform exams, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and document within the EMR, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and education for families.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required.
- APRN state licensure in Florida in good standing.
- Certification by ANCC, AANP, or PNCB in pediatric/advanced practice.
- American Heart Association BLS certification in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Provide subspecialty care for pediatric endocrine disorders.
- Conduct history and physical examinations; order and interpret tests.
- Prescribe medications and document care in EMR.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diabetes, growth, and thyroid care.
- Arrange additional services when needed and follow-up plans.
- Maintain professional documentation and discharge planning.
