Job summary

Riley Hospital for Children, part of Indiana University Health, seeks a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join the pediatric endocrinology division in Indianapolis. The role involves evaluation and management of children and adolescents with diabetes and endocrine disorders across Riley Hospital, Methodist, IU North, and outreach sites, with a balanced call schedule.

Qualifications

  • Evaluate, diagnose and treat children and adolescents across Riley Hospital, Methodist Hospital, IU North in Carmel, and outreach sites.
  • Share in inpatient call with a ~4 weeks per year expectation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, diabetes care and education specialists.

The nationally ranked Riley Hospital for Children is seeking a patient-focused Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our multidisciplinary Pediatric Endocrinology division, a leader in the state for diabetes management and endocrine care. Our diabetes and endocrinology program is consistently ranked int the top 15 nationally by U.S. News & World Report.

Employment Details
  • Responsibilities will consist of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents at Riley Hospital, Methodist Hospital, IU North in Carmel, and potential outreach locations
  • Strong work/life balance supported by sharing of in-patient call equally among all physicians, with call expectations of approximately 4 weeks per year
  • Close collaboration with medical treatment teams including physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, certified diabetes care and education specialists
  • Faculty appointment with the IU School of Medicine with abundant clinical supervision and research opportunities
  • Comprehensive benefits package provided by IU Health Physicians and IU School of Medicine
Qualifications
  • Ideal candidate will have pediatric endocrine or diabetes experience
  • Successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be open to new ideas and opportunities and focus on the Indiana University Health values (purpose, compassion, excellence, team)
  • Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetology required
  • Eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana
