Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
• ATLS certification is required; BLS or PALS certification required.
• Current DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care within the clinical area which complies with bylaws, rules and procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement and research findings.
• Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
• Educate and assist trainees with medical decision making.
• Provides an authenticated report of all physician services rendered and maintains records for reimbursement.
• Completes necessary documentation and ensures timely communication to facilitate patient care and reimbursement.
• Responds to patient and clinical staff questions and requests.
• Participates in meetings/activities to support operations of the clinical area.
• Maintains certification in BLS, PALS, or NALS and maintains additional specialty training as required by area.
• Performs other responsibilities as required.
