Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to join our active PEM team. We are expanding to support our growing academic program and may offer academic appointments with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine for qualified applicants.

The PEM team currently includes twelve physicians with robust APP coverage, an ED that sees substantial pediatric volume, and a commitment to education and research within a leading child

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Active Florida medical license and DEA.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric emergency medicine care in a busy ED setting.
• Collaborate with APPs and PEM staff to deliver high-quality care and support academic initiatives.

In order to manage our ongoing growth, we are adding another Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Physician to our team. We are actively seeking enthusiastic BC/BE physicians who are interested in helping to advance our academic program.

Academic appointment(s) are also available with the University of Central Florida Medical School for qualified applicants. The positions in Pediatric Emergency Medicine offer unique opportunities to advance your career. We are 22 bed ED with approximately 36,00- 40,000 visits this year. Our current PEM staff is twelve physicians, including one nocturnist and one weekender. In addition, we have advanced practice providers (APP) increasing coverage. The ED is covered with 40 physician hours per day and between 16 to 32 APP hours depending on time of year.

Nemours Children’s Hospital is part of a unique 60-acre health campus, which includes an ambulatory diagnostic center, research, and educational facilities. Thisstate-of-the-art, academic, free-standing children’s hospital aims to set a new standard for patient and family experience in central Florida, with up to 137 inpatient beds (over 250 inpatient beds in phase 2). We have a robust education program that includes a fully accredited Pediatric residency program, an accredited PEM fellowship. IN addition,we host residents from three emergency medicine residency programs that rotate through our emergency department. Nemours has a full complement of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
• Valid state medical license& DEA
