Job summary

PSCFL is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to work independently within supervision parameters in a pediatric ED setting. You will assess, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses, injuries and exacerbations, perform history and physical examinations, order tests, prescribe medications, and document care in the EMR.

The role requires a Master's degree, Florida PA licensure, and active NCCPA certification, with flexibility for weekends and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Florida PA license in good standing.
• NCCPA certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive and problem-focused history and physical examinations.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Performs procedures as competency allows and per privileges.
• Documents patient care in EMR and departmental records.
• Initiates emergency resuscitation and stabilization as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health professionals.
