Role Overview

University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician for a position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The role will be part of an elite pediatric emergency team and will involve clinical care, teaching, and academic research in pediatric emergency medicine.

Features
  • Twenty single-bed patient care rooms and two additional resuscitation bays.
  • Full service general pediatric beds and separate pediatric emergency unit.
  • Available 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
Clinical Responsibilities

Provide family-centered, compassionate and high-quality care to children from birth to 21 years of age with multisystem illness and trauma.

Qualifications
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, or dually trained and board certified in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine.
  • Recruiting a faculty member with established excellence in teaching, administration, patient care, and/or independently funded research.
  • Must demonstrate excellence as a clinician-educator.
