Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Emergency Care, Pediatric Services, to work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive pediatric care. The APP will perform H&Ps, order diagnostics, develop care plans, and document in the EMR.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and educators, across the lifespan. State licensing/certification requirements apply; OU Health supports education and research missions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing if APRN, MSN or Master’s in Physician Assistant Services.
• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification upon hire; ACLS, PALS, NRP, ATLS within 90 days.
• RN/APR N license in Oklahoma (APN) or PA license with NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical assessments appropriate for age and condition.
• Orders diagnostic studies and interprets results.
• Develops and adjusts plans of care; documents in EMR.
• Provides patient- and family-centered care and coordinates services across settings.
• Communicates effectively with physicians, other health professionals, and agencies.
• Participates in education of students and staff and in quality improvement activities.
