Qualifications

• Knowledge of hospital policies, practices and regulations.
• Ability to take initiative, exercise judgment and solve problems.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with staff, patients and the public.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct clinical activities and provide direct patient care in pediatric emergency settings.
• Supervise clinical providers and provide performance feedback.
• Ensure high quality of clinical care across settings and implement new processes with leadership.
• Respond to clinical alerts and updates from public health officials as needed.
• Assess indications, risks and benefits of therapeutic interventions and adjust plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families; act as a consultant to the care team.
