Job summary

Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support dentists with restorative procedures, sealants, and patient education. You’ll maintain equipment and help ensure efficient office flow across our pediatric practices.

Ideal candidates hold an EFDA license in good standing, DANB Radiology, and CPR. Some travel to other locations is required to meet operational needs and deliver consistent care to families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved EFDA program
• Current EFDA license in good standing
• DANB Radiology certification required
• CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform restorations and sealants per regulatory scope
• Polish coronal surfaces and apply fluoride with proper isolation
• Place and remove rubber dams, matrices and wedges
• Apply cavity liners and bases as directed
• Take impressions as needed (Denovos/Impressions)
• Provide patient and parent homecare instructions
• Prepare treatment areas and manage case flow
• Review charts prior to procedures and communicate with the dentist
• Perform additional duties as assigned
