Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the South Campus Emergency Department. This part-time role requires 24 hours per week and includes shift coverage from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Responsibilities include scheduling, registration, insurance verification, data entry, PHI handling, and payment collection, all while maintaining patient relations and Dayton Children's financial solvency. We value teamwork, safety, and compassionate care, and strive to provide excellent service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience at a front desk or patient-facing role is expected.
• Healthcare experience and clerical support (HUC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and register patients.
• Transcribe orders and verify insurance information.
• Provide telephone coverage and data entry.
• File protected health information (PHI)
• Assist with patient referrals and payment collection.
• Contribute to patient satisfaction and hospital financial solvency.
