Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Emergency Department who will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate safe, therapeutic care for pediatric patients.

The role requires current California RN licensure, CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications, and at least two years of pediatric ED experience, with flexibility to rotate across UCSF Medical Center locations.

Qualifications

  • Two years of pediatric Emergency Department RN experience.
  • Current California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care for pediatric patients.
  • Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams.
  • Carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required.
  • Assists with management of patient care administered by other nursing team members.
