Job summary

The Nursing Secretary - Monitor Technician NT at Cone Health Medical Group supports the Registered Nurse by monitoring cardiac rhythms and handling essential clerical tasks. With close supervision, you will assist patients with daily activities, take vital signs, document information, and ensure unit readiness.

Required High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of Cone Health's Basic EKG class within 3 months, and Nurse Aide I in good standing with BLS CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of Cone Health's Basic EKG class within 3 months.
• Good standing as Nurse Aide I with NC Division of Facilities Services.
• BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily tasks to support recovery.
• Complete hourly rounding to meet patient needs and inquiries.
• Support RN by taking vital signs and reporting changes promptly.
• Restock equipment and supplies for daily unit operations.
• Distribute food and supplements per plan of care.
• Ensure fall risk patients are marked and monitored to minimize risk.
• Document patient information and logs for communication with physicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
