Responsibilities

• Evaluates nutritional status of patients from records and care team input.
• Documents findings in the medical record per policy.
• Provides nutrition counseling to patients and families as indicated.
• Evaluates care plans and recommends changes based on guidelines.
• Assesses need for enteral/parenteral nutrition and offers recommendations.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning.
• Precepts dietetic interns and provides feedback.
• Engages in community education programs.
