Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz, at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, seeks a Registered Nurse Diabetes Educator–Instructor of Clinical Practice to provide care and education to pediatric patients with diabetes. The role emphasizes developing care plans, family education, and infusion center work for early-stage type 1 diabetes.

This at-will faculty appointment is ~100% clinical, with opportunities to contribute to research and education within a multidisciplinary team at CU Anschutz.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
• RN licensure in Colorado.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience with pediatric diabetes education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct diabetes care and education to children.
• Educate and case manage pediatric diabetes patients.
• Conduct phone consultations with families and school staff.
• Contribute to EMR documentation and data entry.
• Develop educational materials and participate in conferences.
• Support diabetes educator team and policy development.
• Participate in clinical quality improvement and infusion protocols.
