Origin Travel Nurses seeks a skilled Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) to provide diabetes education, consultation, and evaluation of patient and program outcomes at a leading healthcare facility in Michigan. The educator will deliver structured teaching interventions for patients and families, with tailored materials that support growth and self-management.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics.
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
• Registered Dietitian Certification or RN licensure in Michigan.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver educational materials for pediatric inpatients and outpatients in group and individual sessions.
• Utilize growth and development knowledge to provide appropriate educational content based on identified needs.
• Maintain diabetes supplies and assist with their management.
• Provide backup support to other staff as necessary.
• Contribute to orientation and training of personnel and students.
• Attend meetings and participate in required ongoing professional development.
• Prepare periodic reports as requested.
