Job summary

Cook County Health & Hospitals System seeks a Dermatologist specialized in pediatrics to join the outpatient Dermatology service at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital on a part-time basis (19 hours per week). The position includes serving as an educator for residents and participating in didactic activities.

The successful candidate will manage clinical patient care, perform procedures, and contribute to academic activities and on-call coverage as required by a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school; proof required at interview.
  • Illinois physician license in good standing prior to starting.
  • Completion of an ACGME dermatology residency; pediatric dermatology fellowship preferred.
  • Board certification or eligibility in dermatology; within two years of start date.
  • Experience in both medical and procedural dermatology; familiarity with coding.

Responsibilities

  • Attend as physician of record in the Dermatology Outpatient Clinic; staff additional clinics as needed.
  • Provide medical and procedural treatment; manage workups and referrals.
  • Educate residents; participate in residency training and didactics.
  • Engage in on-call duties on a rotating schedule; ensure patient care standards.
