Job description

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive care.
  • Provide restorative treatment, pulp therapy, stainless steel crowns, esthetic crowns, space maintainers, uncomplicated extractions, and other pediatric dental procedures.
  • Utilize minimally invasive treatment options whenever appropriate, including Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF), Hall Technique, resin infiltration, and other evidence-based approaches.
  • Administer nitrous oxide sedation and participate in hospital dentistry cases as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Follow current evidence-based clinical guidelines while exercising sound clinical judgment.
Patient & Family Education
  • Educate children and their families about oral health, prevention, nutrition, home care, growth and development, and treatment options.
  • Take the time to answer questions thoroughly, ensuring families understand diagnoses, treatment recommendations, risks, benefits, and alternatives so they can make informed decisions.
  • Present treatment recommendations with empathy, professionalism, and confidence.
  • Build trusting relationships through honest communication and compassionate care.
  • Help create positive dental experiences that reduce fear and encourage lifelong oral health.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Adapt successfully to both single-doctor and double-doctor schedules while maintaining efficiency, communication, and a positive team environment.
  • Communicate proactively regarding patient care, scheduling, treatment planning, and clinical workflow.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to help teammates to ensure the best possible patient experience.
  • Treat every member of the team with professionalism, respect, and kindness.

Qualifications
  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.

  • Pennsylvania dental license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Nitrous oxide permit and DEA registration, or ability to obtain.
