Qualifications

• Dentistry degree from ADA CODA‑accredited program
• Board eligibility or certification in pediatric dentistry
• Active state dental license
• Hepatitis B vaccination documentation
• Malpractice insurance proof
• BLS/CPR certification current

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review and update patients' medical and dental records
• Review, interpret x‑rays and diagnostic tests; monitor growth of teeth and jaws
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care
• Maintain high quality standards of care and ethics in the office
• Keep up with new developments through continuing education

Education

DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (ADA CODA)

Board eligible or board certified in pediatric dentistry

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
