We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pediatric Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. This position requires working in these locations; Jackson, Toms River, Howell, Lakewood and Neptune.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for pediatric oral health, with comprehensive expertise in managing dental care for children and adolescents. As a Pediatric Dentist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental services tailored to young patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating a wide range of dental conditions specific to pediatric populations, utilizing advanced techniques and fostering positive patient experiences.
Duties
- Perform thorough oral examinations and assessments of pediatric patients, utilizing appropriate medical imaging and dental diagnostic tools.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of children, including preventive care, restorative procedures, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Conduct dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, placement of dental implants, and prosthodontics with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eagle soft, or Dentrix to document patient histories, treatment plans, and medical records accurately.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
- Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote lifelong dental health.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiology professionals for sedation procedures when necessary.
- Maintain infection control standards and adhere to OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, including medical terminology updates and new treatment modalities.
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages client communication and builds trust with young patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice dentistry with specialization or certification in pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with a focus on pediatrics within a dental office or clinic setting.
- Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Epic, Eagle soft, or Dentrix for efficient patient management.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric-specific procedures including dental extractions, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants.
- Familiarity with healthcare diagnosis processes related to oral health issues in children.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures in an understandable manner.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Ability to perform procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
