Job summary

Tooth + Tusk Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Beaverton, OR is seeking a compassionate Pediatric Dentist to join our pediatric-focused practice. You will provide comprehensive care for infants to adolescents, including sedation and care for patients with special needs, while collaborating with our orthodontists and specialists.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program
  • Eligible for or current unrestricted Oregon Dental License
  • Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Nitrous oxide permit and sedation credentials as required by the Oregon Board of Dentistry
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for treating children and creating a positive patient experience
  • Commitment to evidence-based dentistry and high-quality clinical care

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs
  • Perform preventive, restorative, and emergency dental procedures
  • Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide; provide sedation services as appropriate
  • Manage patient behavior using age-appropriate communication and behavior guidance techniques
  • Collaborate with orthodontists and other dental specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and Oregon Dental Board regulations
  • Foster an exceptional patient experience while building long-term relationships with families
