HTU is seeking a personable Dental Assistant to support pediatric and general dental care in a clinic setting. You will record clinical findings, take histories and vital signs, and assist chairside with nitrous and IV sedation while following behavior guidance techniques.

The role involves exposure of digital X-Rays, patient education on oral hygiene, and assisting in hospital anesthesia cases as needed. A team-oriented, patient-focused approach is essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Warm and friendly demeanor toward patients of all ages.
• Comfortable working shoulder-to-shoulder with doctors.
• Ability to deliver exceptional chairside care for pediatric patients.
• Open to candidates with experience or new students seeking their first opportunity.

Responsabilités

• Expose digital diagnostic X-Rays.
• Record clinical findings and treatment information in patient records.
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
• Clean teeth using dental instruments including toothbrush and prophy cup.
• Apply fluoride varnish, sealants, and SDF.
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
• Assist in consults and treatment of tongue and lip ties on infants and children.
• Assist chairside with nitrous while utilizing behavior guidance techniques.
• Assist chairside during IV sedation.
• Assist in the hospital for general anesthesia surgery cases.
• Maintain a daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule.
• Cement stainless steel crowns and space maintainers.
• Fill and finish restorations.
