Job summary

Choice-Healthcare-Services is seeking a Dental Assistant in Sparks, NV for a part-time role (3 days/week). The position involves preparing treatment rooms, assisting the dentist, taking x-rays, and ensuring infection control standards are met.

Responsibilities include charting treatments, instructing patients on oral hygiene, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining room readiness for procedures.

Qualifications

• Education/experience: Certification from a dental college OR 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Required: X-Ray Nevada certification or affidavit
• Required: BLS certification
• Required: 4-hour Infection Control certification

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor
