Job summary

UTHealth Houston’s School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant I (registered) or II (certified) to join the Pediatric Dentistry team. The role supports residents and faculty, provides chair-side assistance, and ensures strict infection control and record-keeping.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma and completion of an approved dental assisting program; TS BDE certification is required. Position located at 7500 Cambridge, Houston, TX 77054.

Qualifications

• Must be a Dental Assistant registered/certified per TS BDE.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, prophylaxis, therapeutic and surgical procedures under supervision.
• Provide chair side assistance to residents and faculty.
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Maintain infection control standards.
• Maintain patient records and appointments.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
