Vaya Dental & Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Dental Assistant I or II with pediatric experience to join our team. The role requires fast-paced clinical work, compassionate communication with children and parents, and collaboration with the dental team.

The position involves four-handed chairside support, room preparation, radiographs, charting in Open Dental, and strict adherence to infection-control protocols. Prior pediatric experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Pediatric dental experience required.
• DAII or DA1 with required NC credentials.
• Proficiency in radiographs and charting with Open Dental.
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control protocols.
• Ability to work with anxious or apprehensive children.
• Strong teamwork and communication with parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures.
• Anticipate the doctor's needs during treatment.
• Provide retraction and suctioning.
• Assist with restorative, oral surgery and other procedures.
• Take high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
• Document clinical findings and treatment accurately.
• Maintain infection-control protocols and sterile instruments.
• Open Dental documentation and inventory management.
• Collaborate with doctors, assistants and administrative team.
