Bon Secours in Virginia (Richmond) invites a Dental Assistant to support the dentist during patient procedures, prepare and maintain treatment areas, and help improve patient comfort. The role blends clinical tasks with administrative duties in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires chairside assisting, X-ray imaging, charting in EHR, and inventory management. Licensing preferences include a Registered Dental Assistant and radiology license; BLS preferred before direct patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years’ dental assisting experience preferred.
• Registered Dental Assistant and radiology license preferred.
• BLS certification preferred prior to direct patient care.
• Infection control as per OSHA and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during examinations, fillings, crowns and extractions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment areas per infection control.
• Take and develop dental radiographs as directed.
• Record medical histories and treatment notes.
• Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-op care guidance.
• Monitor dental inventory and restock supplies.
